BLYTHSWOOD BOXES UPDATE

Thank you all so much for all your donations over the last few months!

Over the month of August, our focus is on gathering underwear and socks for men, women, and children along-with deodorant and body spray. All contributions towards this would be greatly appreciated. There is a blue box situated to the left as you come into Church, where donations can be left. Thank you! I hope to have a ‘box wrapping’ session in the near future where we can meet together, wrap some boxes, and have a chat with tea and cake! Watch this space for further details.

The date for filling the shoeboxes is Saturday 7th November, if possible please keep this date free! Thank you! – Elizabeth McPhail

New SpeakLife Course – “Through the Bible”

SpeakLife (the Creators of the 3,2,1 Course that we recently ran) are developing a new course called “Through the Bible”.  The Course is being produced recognising the upsurge in interest in reading the Bible that we are experiencing, while also recognising the general lack of biblical literacy.  It is envisaged that the course will consist of 4 modules taking you through the Bible and showing how it leads us to Jesus.  Rosskeen (along with various other Churches around the UK) have been signed up to run a trial of the new material – namely the first module (a 4 part Genesis overview).  This will run end of October into November.  More details will follow closer to the time.

Kirk Session

The next meeting of the Kirk Session will be on Monday 24th August at 7.30pm in the Saltburn Manse.
