Sunday Services

Whether you’re a visitor in the area, or just someone thinking through the Christian faith, we’d love to welcome you to our church!

Worshipping together is vital to the growth and development of our faith in God. When we come to church, we are reflecting a desire to be under the power of God’s revealed word. It is also an opportunity to approach God in a way that reflects the biblical patterns of worship.

Where and what time do we meet?

We normally gather together twice on a Sunday at 11.00am and 5.30pm.

The morning service takes place in Rosskeen Free Church and our evening service currently takes place at Capstone building in Alness.

You can find a map and parking directions here.
Unable to join us in person? You can watch the livestream here.

What do we get up to at Church on a Sunday?

We know that sometimes it can be a bit daunting to go to Church – especially if you have never been before or have not been for a while. There is no need to be nervous – we will be delighted to see you and you will get a warm welcome.

You will be greeted by some friendly faces at the front door and if you would like a Bible we have plenty available. Don’t worry if you’ve never used a Bible before – the readings will also be displayed on the screens, along with any song words.  If you would like to take a Bible as you come in, feel free to do so – indeed if you do not have a Bible please feel free to take one and keep it.  The only condition is that you use it!

Our worship services typically follow the pattern below and last for about one hour.  You will not be asked to do anything strange!  Each service follows a similar pattern – we sing to the LORD together, we pray, we read the Bible and the Minister explains the Bible passage and applies it to our lives.  We believe the Bible is God’s Word to us and so we value it highly.

After the morning service, hot and cold drinks and refreshments are served in the hall. This is a great opportunity to catch up with each other and meet new people. Please do stay if you can!  We strive to be a very friendly church, and this is a perfect opportunity for us to meet and get to know you!

There are also contact cards on the pews, or at the front as you come in, so please do feel free to fill one out and pop it in the box at the front.  This helps us to keep in touch with you, to add you to our Church contact lists or a way to ask your questions of us.

"Come to me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” - Jesus Christ
